We ended our trip early on February 15th and headed straight to Ojai, California where Marie Wendel (Susie’s mom) had just been hospitalized with breathing issues, and had taken a turn for the worse. Other family members gathered there as well and we visited with Marie in the hospital during the last 4 days of her life. She passed quietly at rest on February 19th. She was a remarkable woman and her passing saddens us all.
We will be visiting friends/family in the US over the next few weeks then resume our foreign travels in April.
