Some Downtime in the US

After our 4+ months trip through Europe, we spent the last 4 months or so hanging around in the US.

Fun with Friends and Family

We spent a lot of time in our vacation rental in St George but made the rounds.  Northern Utah, Idaho, Arizona, California, and a women’s cruise in the Caribbean. Here is a sample of the things we did:

Housesitting

We also tried something new:  Finding housesitting gigs where we stay for free in exchange for taking care of a house, housepets and houseplants.  Great dogs, nice owners and nice lodgings in both locations (Salt Lake City and Boise Idaho). Really a cost effective way to spend time in an area, and get our fix of doggie love. (We miss Kaya!)

Next up: Some time on the big Island of Hawaii with Susie’s brother and family.

Our next big adventure:

We will be serving a six month church mission on the Caribbean island nation of St. Kitts and Nevis.  Our time on the island is planned to run from early April through mid-September 2024.  We will help out with the church congregation there and to seek out service opportunities in the community.  There should be some beach time in there too!

    I saw Sandra and Kevin just before they left for Puerto Rico. I am happy for you both and for you to be able to serve with Kartchner’s and Horstmeier’s.
