The End of our RV Era

Since our last post we have been in Pocatello Idaho, St. George, Utah, Orem Utah and Queen Creek, Arizona.  We visited family and friends and sold Hilda the trailer and Hoss the truck.    Photos below: Pocatello 4th of July activities at Jenna and Adam’s house, friends and family and Charlie’s blessing in Pocatello, the view out the back of the trailer from our last day camping.

We also had mini-reunion in Arizona with former Cambodia missionaries:

Hilda is now in St. George where she will be a winter home to a couple from Rexburg, ID.

Saying goodbye to Hilda, parked in a storage lot in St. George

Hs Hoss is now in Wyoming where he is taking on the role of work truck on a ranch.

Hoss, looking good in St. George a week before being sold.

We will miss them both as they have been our traveling home for more than a year. Hilda was a great rolling home and Hoss was a strong and dependable tow vehicle. Still, it felt like the right time to move on to other adventures.

So what’s next?  Here in Utah, we have an impending birth of a grandchild, a wedding reception and mini-family reunion, and helping Nathan, Josie, Jane and new baby make a move to Phoenix.  That will take us to the latter part of August.  Depending on the ever-changing worldwide Covid situation, Plan A is to spend a couple months in Eastern Europe.  Plan B is, uh, do something else?    More domestic travel, this time by car, or some other international destination where travel is still possible?  Stay tuned, we will see!
