The Cotswold Way, First Half!

Since the last post, we finished up our visit in London, said goodbye to our flat on Nottingham Place, Marylebone, London, and took a train/train/bus via Stratford upon Avon ending up at Chipping Campden, the north terminus of the official Cotswold Way, and the starting point of our planned walk of the whole 100+ mile trail down to Bath.  The trail alternates between towns on the plain (maybe 200 – 400 foot elevation) and the beautiful countryside in the hills above (about 1000 foot elevation).  Here’s an elevation map of the full 100 miles of the trail which looks like a comb.  We have completed 6 of the planned 10 days of walking.  We’ve had great weather, but that’s about to change….

I made a movie of the trail photos so far, watch a bit if you like.

I loved the movie…so beautiful. Especially liked the “Bull in Field” sign and the fat cat.
I even liked the sound track , it reminded me of the movie “The Englishman who went up a hill and came down a mountain”

    Thank you
